Texas High School Basketball - Shepherd can't hold off Liberty

The Liberty Panthers basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Shepherd Pirates to 60 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burkeville for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Liberty will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 54-49 non-league loss to Sabine Pass (Sabine Pass, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-10.

The Pirates (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Sabine Pass (Sabine Pass, TX). The Sharks enter the non-league contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Sabine Pass nudged Burkeville (Burkeville, TX), 54-49, in a non-league contest.
