Walkersville Lions (Walkersville, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Linganore Lancers (Frederick, MD), 56-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Walkersville upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Lions travel to Liberty (Sykesville, MD) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Liberty won 62-59 in their recent non-league bout against Edgewood (Edgewood, MD)

Next up, the Lancers play the North Hagerstown Hubs (Hagerstown, MD) in a CMC bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Linganore will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Hubs go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 68-63 league loss to Williamsport (Williamsport, MD).
