Illinois High School Basketball - Moline overwhelms Rock Island
December 9, 2022: Rock Island, IL 61201 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) and the host Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL), saw Moline's basketball team trounce Rock Island by a tally of 78-40.
The Maroons now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rockridge for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 13. Moline will battle a Rockets team coming off a 63-34 league win over Orion (Orion, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 4-1.
The Rocks (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Normal Community (Normal, IL). The Ironmen come into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Normal Community was overwhelmed by Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL), 73-44, in a non-league battle.
