The Nimitz Cougars basketball team scored 53 points and held the host MacArthur Generals to 36 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eisenhower for a 6A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Nimitz will meet a Eagles team coming off a 62-25 non-league loss to Klein Oak (Spring, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-5.

The Generals (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Aldine (Houston, TX). The Mustangs enter the 6A Region II District 14 contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Aldine ran past Benjamin Davis (Houston, TX), 48-37, in a league contest.
