The Westfield Mustangs basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Nimitz Cougars to 36 in the Mustangs league victory on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eisenhower for a 6A Region II District 14 contest on Saturday, January 28. Westfield will battle a Eagles team coming off a 38-27 league loss to MacArthur (Houston, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 5-17.

The Cougars (15-11) will now prepare for their contest against Benjamin Davis (Houston, TX). The Falcons come into the 6A Region II District 14 contest with a 6-15 record. In their last contest, Benjamin Davis was defeated by Spring (Spring, TX), 78-39, in a league contest.
