West Virginia High School Basketball - Nicholas County holds off WestSide
December 9, 2022: Summersville, WV 26651 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) and the visiting WestSide Renegades (Clear Fork, WV), saw Nicholas County's basketball squad hold off WestSide by a tally of 44-42.
With the victory, Nicholas County improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Clay County (Clay, WV) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Clay County lost 44-22 in their recent league challenge against Roane County (Spencer, WV)
Next up, the Renegades confront the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. WestSide will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Miners come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 55-49 league win over Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV).
