The West Liberty Comets basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Tipton Tigers to 31 in the Comets league triumph on Friday.

The Comets now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Regina for a River Valley - South contest on Tuesday, December 20.

The Tigers (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Durant (Durant, IA). The Wildcats enter the River Valley - South contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Durant was routed by Cascade (Cascade, IA), 66-34, in a non-league contest.
