Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA), 44-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Tunstall upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Trojans host Bassett (Bassett, VA) to play the Bengals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Bengals go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Bassett won 38-34 in their recent non-league bout against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA)

Next up, the Comets play the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Halifax County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 48-27 non-league loss to Martinsville (Martinsville, VA).
