December 9, 2023: Cary, IL 60013 The Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL) basketball felled the visiting Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL), 44-34 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Trojans (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Crystal Lake Central (Crystal Lake, IL). The Tigers go into the Fox Valley test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Crystal Lake Central thwarted Wheeling (Wheeling, IL), 62-34, in a non-league test.
The Grenadiers now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Buffalo Grove for a Mid-Suburban - East test on Friday, December 15. Elk Grove will encounter a Bison squad coming off a 42-35 non-league loss to Maine West (Des Plaines, IL). The Bison record now stands at 5-4.
