December 9, 2023: West Monroe, LA 71292 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA) and the visiting Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers (Jonesboro, LA), saw West Ouachita's basketball squad hold off Jonesboro-Hodge by a tally of 53-51.
With the victory, West Ouachita improves its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Union Parish (Farmerville, LA) to confront the Farmers in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 11. The Farmers come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Union Parish lost 69-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Choudrant (Choudrant, LA)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Lincoln Prep Panthers (Grambling, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Jonesboro-Hodge will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 42-39 non-league loss to Beau Chene (Arnaudville, LA).
