Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Marmion Cadets (Aurora, IL), 50-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Kaneland upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL) to play the Cavaliers in a Interstate Eight bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 8-2. LaSalle-Peru won 88-47 in their recent non-league bout against Mendota (Mendota, IL)

Next up, the Cadets play the De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Marmion will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Meteors come into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 59-46 non-league loss to Chicago Mt. Carmel (Chicago, IL).
