Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA) and the visiting Saint Gertrude Gators (Richmond, VA), saw Virginia Episcopal School's basketball squad hold off Saint Gertrude by a tally of 56-52.

With the victory, Virginia Episcopal School improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Bishops travel to Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA) to confront the Celtics in a VISAA Blue Ridge challenge on Friday, December 15. The Celtics come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Roanoke Catholic won 45-22 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA)
