Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI), 52-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Mott upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Corsairs host Kettering (Waterford, MI) to play the Captains in a Lakes Valley bout on Friday, February 4. The Captains go into the bout with a record of 0-11. Kettering lost 58-34 in their recent league bout against Milford (Highland, MI)

Next up, the Knights play the Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) in a Lakes Valley bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Walled Lake Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 41-33 league loss to Milford (Highland, MI).
