In Wednesday's league match, the visiting Ishpeming Hematites basketball team scored a good 57-39 triumph over the Gwinn Modeltowners.

In their next game, the Hematites meet the Munising Mustangs (Munising, MI) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 4. Ishpeming will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record.

With the defeat, Gwinn moves to 5-8 on the year. The Modeltowners travel to Hancock (Hancock, MI) to meet the Bulldogs in a Western Peninsula match on Thursday, February 2.
