February 1, 2024: Harrisonburg, VA 22802 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Eastern Mennonite Flames (Harrisonburg, VA) and the visiting Roanoke Catholic Celtics (Roanoke, VA), saw Eastern Mennonite's basketball squad overcome Roanoke Catholic by a tally of 82-74.
With the victory, Eastern Mennonite improves its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Flames travel to Carlisle (Axton, VA) to confront the Chiefs in a VISAA Division IV challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 19-9. Carlisle won 87-58 in their recent league challenge against Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA)
Next up, the Celtics confront the Calvary Day School Cougars (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 2. Roanoke Catholic will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 12-15 record after their 83-80 league loss to Caldwell Academy (Greensboro, NC).
