February 1, 2024: Swan Quarter, NC 27885 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders (Belhaven, NC) and the host Mattamuskeet Lakers (Swan Quarter, NC), saw Pungo Christian Academy's basketball squad wallop Mattamuskeet by a tally of 74-36.
With the victory, Pungo Christian Academy improves its record to 20-4 on the campaign. The Raiders host Northeast Academy (Lasker, NC) to confront the Eagles in a NCISAA Tarheel challenge on Friday, February 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-14. Northeast Academy lost 53-20 in their recent league challenge against Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC)
Next up, the Lakers confront the Hobgood Charter Raiders (Hobgood, NC) in a 1A Atlantic 5 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Mattamuskeet will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 84-50 league win over Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC).
