Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Amherst Broncos (Amherst, NE) and the visiting Pleasanton Bulldogs (Pleasanton, NE), saw Amherst's basketball squad hold off Pleasanton by a tally of 36-32.

With the victory, Amherst improves its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Broncos host Elm Creek (Elm Creek, NE) to confront the Buffaloes in a D1 District 10 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a record of 15-5.
