Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Arvin Bears (Arvin, CA) and the host Foothill Trojans (Bakersfield, CA), saw Arvin's basketball squad hold off Foothill by a tally of 56-55.

With the victory, Arvin improves its record to 16-10 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Mira Monte (Bakersfield, CA) to play the Lions in a South Yosemite - Horizon challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 2-14.

Next up, the Trojans play the Golden Valley Bulldogs (Bakersfield, CA) in a South Yosemite - Horizon challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Foothill will attempt to improve on its 9-15 season record.
