The Millington Central Trojans basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Brighton Cardinals to 48 in the Trojans league triumph on Thursday.

The Trojans now sport a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Craigmont for a 3A District 15 contest on Friday, February 2. Millington Central will meet a Chiefs team coming off a 37-33 league loss to Covington (Covington, TN). The Chiefs record now stands at 5-15.

The Cardinals (9-16) will now prepare for their contest against Raleigh-Egypt (Memphis, TN). The Pharaohs enter the 3A District 15 contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, Raleigh-Egypt was routed by Covington (Covington, TN), 44-1, in a league contest.
