The Millington Central Trojans routed the host Covington Chargers basketball team by a final score of 66-28 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs (Memphis, TN) in a 3A District 15 game, on Tuesday, January 9. Millington Central will attempt to move on its 7-6 season record.

With the defeat, Covington moves to 3-11 on the year. The Chargers host Haywood (Brownsville, TN) to face the Tomcats in a non-league game on Saturday, January 6. The Tomcats enter the game with a record of 4-10. Haywood won 50-45 in their recent non-league game against Jackson North Side (Jackson, TN)
