Michigan High School Basketball - Johannesburg-Lewiston holds off Mancelona
February 1, 2024: Johannesburg, MI 49751 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals (Johannesburg, MI) and the visiting Mancelona Ironmen (Mancelona, MI), saw Johannesburg-Lewiston's basketball squad hold off Mancelona by a tally of 21-18.
With the victory, Johannesburg-Lewiston improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Pellston (Pellston, MI) to confront the Hornets in a Ski-Valley challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 1-11. Pellston lost 55-20 in their recent league challenge against St. Mary Cathedral (Gaylord, MI)
Next up, the Ironmen confront the Ellsworth Lancers (Ellsworth, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Mancelona will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record.
