Illinois High School Basketball - Eureka overwhelms Olympia
February 1, 2025: Eureka, IL 61530 The Eureka Hornets basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Olympia Spartans to 38 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Hornets now possess a 13-12 record. They play next when they host Fisher for a Heart of Illinois game on Tuesday, February 4. Eureka will confront a Bunnies team coming off a 50-40 non-league loss to Salt Fork (Sidell, IL). The Bunnies record now stands at 11-13.
With the loss, Olympia falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Spartans host Riverton (Riverton, IL) to confront the Hawks in a Sangamo game on Tuesday, February 4. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 17-5. Riverton lost 40-39 in their recent league game against Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL)
