In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Lincoln Railsplitters basketball team scored a good 40-30 win over the Taylorville Tornadoes.

The Railsplitters (15-8) will now prepare for their contest against Glenwood (Chatham, IL). The Titans come into the Central State Eight contest with a 15-6 record.

In their next game, the Tornadoes battle the Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) in a Apollo contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Taylorville will attempt to better on its 12-12 season record. The Braves come into the contest with a 16-7 record after their 53-48 non-league loss to Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL).
