Indiana High School Basketball - Monroe Central can't hold off New Castle

New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN), 65-58 in a non-league match.

With the victory, New Castle advances its record to 8-9 on the year. The Trojans travel to Franklin County (Brookville, IN) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Saturday, February 8. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 5-11.

The Golden Bears now own a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union for a Mid-Eastern match on Thursday, February 6. Monroe Central will face a Rockets squad coming off a 86-32 league loss to Daleville (Daleville, IN). The Rockets record now stands at 3-8.
