The Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA) basketball nipped the host Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), 43-38 in Thursday's league test.

The Pioneers (13-7) will now prepare for their test against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Seminole test with a 10-10 record. In their last test, Jefferson Forest got by Liberty (Bedford, VA), 56-46, in a league test.
