Lewis Mills Spartans (Burlington, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT), 68-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lewis Mills upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Spartans host Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT) to clash with the Mountaineers in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 12. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a record of 0-15. Housatonic-Wamogo lost 95-46 in their recent non-league bout against Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Hand Tigers (Madison, CT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 12. Platt will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 82-35 non-league win over Career Magnet (New Haven, CT).
