The Oakland Mills Scorpions basketball team (Columbia, MD), was routed 71-45 in Thursday's league battle with the host Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD)

The Lightning now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Severna Park for a non-league battle on Monday, February 14. Long Reach will battle a Falcons team coming off a 45-27 league win over Annapolis (Annapolis, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 10-4.

The Scorpions (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD). The Vikings come into the Howard County battle with a 1-10 record. In their last battle, Mt. Hebron was routed by Glenelg (Glenelg, MD), 67-52, in a league battle.
