Wilde Lake Wildecats (Columbia, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Oakland Mills Scorpions (Columbia, MD), 78-59 in a league bout.

With the victory, Wilde Lake upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Wildecats travel to Glenelg (Glenelg, MD) to play the Gladiators in a Howard County bout on Friday, January 28. The Gladiators come into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the Scorpions play the River Hill Hawks (Clarksville, MD) in a Howard County bout, on Wednesday, January 26. Oakland Mills will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 65-34 league win over Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD).
