The Oakland Mills Scorpions basketball team (Columbia, MD), was toppled 47-35 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting River Hill Hawks (Clarksville, MD)

The Hawks now possess a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Long Reach for a Howard County battle on Friday, January 28. River Hill will confront a Lightning team coming off a 53-49 league win over Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD). The Lightning record now stands at 4-2.

The Scorpions (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Howard (Ellicott City, MD). The Lions come into the Howard County battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Howard was toppled by Marriotts Ridge (Marriottsville, MD), 80-38, in a league battle.
