Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Alcoa Tornadoes (Alcoa, TN) and the visiting Maryville Red Rebels (Maryville, TN), saw Alcoa's basketball squad hold off Maryville by a count of 54-51.

With the victory, Alcoa upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to Bearden (Knoxville, TN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 13. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 16-10. Bearden won 58-42 in their recent league challenge against Heritage (Maryville, TN)
