Illinois High School Basketball - Cerro Gordo/Bement crushes Blue Ridge
February 10, 2023: Cerro Gordo, IL 61818 Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos (Cerro Gordo, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Blue Ridge Knights (Farmer City, IL), 59-31 in a league bout.
With the win, Cerro Gordo/Bement upgrades its record to 17-11 on the season. The Broncos travel to Decatur Lutheran (Decatur, IL) to clash with the Lions in a Lincoln Prairie bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 24-0.
Next up, the Knights clash with the Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans (Kansas, IL) in a Lincoln Prairie bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Blue Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 8-20 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 5-23 record after their 74-54 league loss to Heritage (Broadlands, IL).
