Illinois High School Basketball - Canton overwhelms Washington
February 10, 2023: Washington, IL 61571 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Canton Little Giants (Canton, IL) and the host Washington Panthers (Washington, IL), saw Canton's basketball squad wallop Washington by a count of 57-31.
With the victory, Canton upgrades its record to 7-21 on the campaign. The Little Giants host Limestone (Bartonville, IL) to play the Rockets in a Mid-Illini challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 3-23. Limestone lost 59-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Glenwood (Chatham, IL)
Next up, the Panthers play the Morton Potters (Morton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 16-12 season record. The Potters come into the challenge with a 22-9 record after their 59-54 league loss to Dunlap (Dunlap, IL).
