The North Newton Spartans tipped the visiting Frontier Falcons basketball team by a final score of 42-39 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Spartans face the South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN) in a Midwest game, on Tuesday, February 14. North Newton will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Rebels enter the game with a 0-18 record after their 51-20 non-league loss to Iroquois West (Gilman, IL).
