Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Stagg Chargers (Palos Hills, IL), 49-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lincoln-Way Central upgrades its record to 10-17 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL) to play the Warriors in a SouthWest Suburban - Red bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 10-19. Lincoln-Way West lost 58-49 in their recent league bout against Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL)

Next up, the Chargers play the Richards Bulldogs (Oak Lawn, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 11. Stagg will attempt to upgrade on its 12-15 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 10-18 record after their 78-75 league win over Argo (Summit, IL).
