The North Central Thunder basketball team (Eureka, SD), was overwhelmed 66-30 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD)

The Wildcats now possess a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Redfield for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 14. Northwestern Area will battle a Pheasants team coming off a 57-48 league loss to Groton (Groton, SD). The Pheasants record now stands at 8-10.

The Thunder (1-16) will now prepare for their battle against Wakpala (Wakpala, SD). The Sioux come into the non-league battle with a 7-11 record. In their last battle, Wakpala was overwhelmed by Lemmon (Lemmon, SD), 58-44, in a non-league battle.
