Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting North Central Thunder (Eureka, SD), 62-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Groton upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Redfield (Redfield, SD) to clash with the Pheasants in a A Region 1 bout on Thursday, February 9. The Pheasants go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Redfield lost 47-40 in their recent non-league bout against Warner (Warner, SD)

Next up, the Thunder clash with the Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. North Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 62-41 non-league win over Great Plains Lutheran (Watertown, SD).
