South Dakota High School Basketball - Northwestern Area overwhelmed by Groton
January 23, 2023: Groton, SD 57445 The Groton Tigers basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the visiting Northwestern Area Wildcats to 52 in the Tigers non-league victory on Monday.
The Tigers now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Webster for a A Region 1 contest on Thursday, January 26. Groton will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 51-43 non-league loss to Waverly/South Shore (Waverly, SD). The Bearcats record now stands at 2-9.
The Wildcats (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Faulkton (Faulkton, SD). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Faulkton was routed by Ipswich (Ipswich, SD), 54-30, in a league contest.
