Tennessee High School Basketball - Grainger knocked off by Carter
February 10, 2024: Strawberry Plains, TN 37871 The Carter Green Hornets basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Grainger Grizzlies to 48 in the Green Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Green Hornets now sport a 13-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson County for a non-league contest on Monday, February 12. Carter will meet a Patriots team coming off a 54-50 non-league loss to Cocke County (Newport, TN). The Patriots record now stands at 7-14.
The Grizzlies (9-14) will now prepare for their contest against Northview Academy (Kodak, TN). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 14-12 record. In their last contest, Northview Academy was outscored by Anderson County (Clinton, TN), 67-49, in a non-league contest.
