Michigan High School Basketball - Pickford overwhelms Newberry
February 10, 2025: Pickford, MI 49774 The Pickford Panthers basketball team scored 75 points and limited the visiting Newberry Indians to 37 in the Panthers league triumph on Monday.
The Panthers now have a 15-1 record. They play next when they travel to St. Ignace for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 12. Pickford will confront a Saints team coming off a 72-43 non-league loss to Brimley (Brimley, MI). The Saints record now stands at 4-10.
With the loss, Newberry falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Alanson (Alanson, MI) to confront the Vikings in a non-league game on Wednesday, February 12. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 10-6. Alanson won 45-40 in their recent non-league game against Pellston (Pellston, MI)
