February 10, 2025: Watersmeet, MI 49959 Ontonagon Gladiators (Ontonagon, MI) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Watersmeet Nimrods (Watersmeet, MI), 77-40 in a league match.
With the victory, Ontonagon advances its record to 8-9 on the year. The Gladiators travel to Ewen-Trout Creek (Ewen, MI) to face the Panthers in a Copper Mountain - Porcupine match on Thursday, February 13. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 10-5. Ewen-Trout Creek won 75-35 in their recent league match against Watersmeet (Watersmeet, MI)
The Nimrods now own a 3-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Baraga for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Watersmeet will face a Vikings squad coming off a 52-41 league loss to Wakefield (Wakefield, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 12-5.
