New Mexico High School Basketball - West Mesa toppled by Rio Grande
February 10, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87105 Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM), 47-39 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Rio Grande upgrades its record to 7-5 on the year. The Ravens host Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Jaguars in a non-league match on Thursday, February 13. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 0-13.
The Mustangs now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley for a non-league match on Saturday, February 15. West Mesa will face a Vikings squad coming off a 54-48 non-league loss to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Vikings record now stands at 8-8.
