Virginia High School Basketball - West Potomac can't hold off Woodson
February 10, 2025: Fairfax, VA 22031 Woodson Cavaliers (Fairfax, VA) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA), 41-35 in a league match.
With the victory, Woodson advances its record to 12-2 on the year. The Cavaliers host South County (Lorton, VA) to face the Stallions in a non-league match on Friday, February 14. The Stallions enter the match with a record of 10-0. South County won 62-56 in their recent non-league match against Robinson (Fairfax, VA)
The Wolverines now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Braddock for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. West Potomac will face a Bruins squad coming off a 47-46 non-league loss to Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 3-9.
