February 11, 2025: Farmer City, IL 61842 Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos (Cerro Gordo, IL) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Blue Ridge Knights (Farmer City, IL), 49-47 in a league match.
With the victory, Cerro Gordo/Bement advances its record to 11-16 on the year. The Broncos travel to La Salette Academy (Georgetown, IL) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Thursday, February 13. The Lions enter the match with a record of 15-7. La Salette Academy lost 60-48 in their recent non-league match against Marshall (Marshall, IL)
The Knights now own a 9-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Heritage for a Lincoln Prairie match on Friday, February 14. Blue Ridge will face a Hawks squad coming off a 57-45 league loss to Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 8-19.
