February 11, 2025: Essex Junction, VT 05452 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the South Burlington Wolves (South Burlington, VT) and the host Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT), observed South Burlington's basketball team overwhelm Essex by a margin of 64-36.
The Wolves (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT). The Hilltoppers come into the Metro challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, St. Johnsbury Academy trounced Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT), 57-47, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Colchester Lakers (Colchester, VT) in a Metro challenge, on Friday, February 14. Essex will attempt to better on its 5-14 season record. The Lakers come into the challenge with a 4-12 record after their 90-27 league loss to Burlington (Burlington, VT).
