New Mexico High School Basketball - St. Pius X triumphant over Grants
February 11, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87120 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), observed St. Pius X's basketball team overwhelm Grants by a margin of 60-33.
The Sartans (15-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars come into the 4A District 5 challenge with a 18-5 record. In their last challenge, Valencia trounced Grants (Grants, NM), 47-24, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) in a 4A District 5 challenge, on Friday, February 14. Grants will attempt to better on its 9-15 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 13-10 record after their 31-29 league win over Belen (Belen, NM).
