Minnesota High School Basketball - St. Mary's holds off Springfield
February 13, 2024: Sleepy Eye, MN 56085 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the St. Mary's Knights (Sleepy Eye, MN) and the visiting Springfield Tigers (Springfield, MN), saw St. Mary's's basketball squad hold off Springfield by a tally of 69-68.
With the victory, St. Mary's improves its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Martin County West (Sherburn, MN) to confront the Mavericks in a A Section 2 challenge on Thursday, February 15. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 18-5. Martin County West won 41-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Blue Earth (Blue Earth, MN)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers (Tracy, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 16. Springfield will attempt to improve on its 13-10 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 7-16 record after their 51-46 league loss to Yellow Medicine East (Granite Falls, MN).
