In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Hammond Morton Governors basketball team scored a big 77-55 win over the Calumet New Tech Warriors.

The Governors (7-14) will now prepare for their contest against Warsaw (Warsaw, IN). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 17-4 record.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 14. Calumet New Tech will attempt to better on its 8-10 season record. The Kougars come into the contest with a 9-8 record after their 70-51 non-league loss to La Porte (La Porte, IN).
