February 13, 2025: Las Cruces, NM 88011 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) and the visiting Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM), observed Centennial's basketball squad run past Gadsden by a count of 59-45.
With the victory, Centennial advances its record to 10-14 on the year. The Hawks travel to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM) to face the Knights in a 5A District 3 match on Monday, February 17. The Knights enter the match with a record of 19-5. Organ Mountain won 48-45 in their recent league match against Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM)
The Panthers now own a 5-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mayfield for a 5A District 3 match on Monday, February 17. Gadsden will face a Trojans squad coming off a 60-59 league win over Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Trojans record now stands at 10-14.
