New Mexico High School Basketball - Mayfield bested by Centennial
February 10, 2025: Las Cruces, NM 88007 Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), 47-33 in a league match.
With the victory, Centennial advances its record to 9-14 on the year. The Hawks host Gadsden (Anthony, NM) to encounter the Panthers in a 5A District 3 test on Thursday, February 13. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 5-17. Gadsden lost 72-39 in their recent league test against Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM)
The Trojans (9-14) will now prepare for their test against Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Tigers come into the 5A District 3 test with a 10-13 record. In their last test, Alamogordo was knocked off by Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM), 71-59, in a league test.
