Colorado High School Basketball - Discovery Canyon can't hold off Cheyenne Mountain

February 13, 2025: Colorado Springs, CO 80921

Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks (Colorado Springs, CO) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO), 64-59 in a league game.

The Red-Tailed Hawks now have a 16-5 record. They play next when they travel to Widefield for a non-league game on Monday, February 17. Cheyenne Mountain will confront a Gladiators team coming off a 45-39 league loss to Canon City (Canon City, CO). The Gladiators record now stands at 9-11.

With the loss, Discovery Canyon falls to 15-7 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO) to confront the Rangers in a 5A/4A Pikes Peak game on Wednesday, February 19. The Rangers go into the game with a record of 11-10. Lewis-Palmer lost 63-40 in their recent league game against Lutheran (Parker, CO)
